Renarda Porter, founder

 Body of Art was founded in 1993 by Renarda Boddie Porter.  Renarda, a self-described Art Activist, has had a love affair with art for over 29 years.  Starting out as a collector, her passion for art grew as she shared what she learned with her family and friends. She serves as an art dealer, publisher, consultant and avid supporter of all things art.  

In 2007, Renarda co-founded and co-owned House of Art Gallery located in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked as a consultant for numerous internationally renowned artists including the late William Tolliver, Leroy Campbell, Kenneth Gatewood, Monique Luck and many others.   

 The Body of Art Collection, is an online fine art boutique. We are committed to featuring art that inspires, elevates, challenges and evokes something that compels you to support these incredible artists. The collection consists of art hand-picked for our collectors.  Renarda,  serves as a personal curator for individual collectors, with a devoted collector base that extends internationally.  The business has grown over the years through loyal collector referrals and various art exhibitions.  

Supporting The Tom Joyner Foundation since 2004, Renarda uses art as a platform to work in the community.  She works with non-profit organizations, corporations, foundations, church groups and colleges to assist in fundraising and educational initiatives.  Renarda volunteers with the Good Samaritan Program, which is dedicated to serving the homeless of New Orleans. She conducts art education lectures and has participated in empowerment sessions for Orleans Parish inmates. Renarda vigourously supports female artists and mentors several young women in business and art.

Renarda holds an MBA in marketing from Clark Atlanta University and is a third-generation graduate of Dillard University. She is a devout christian, wife, mother and successful business woman..
